Summer sport camps can be a productive and rewarding experience. Almost every college campus in Michigan hosts a summer program in which you can spend either an entire day or an entire week on campus participating in your favorite sports. I am sure many of you hope to play on a college team at some level, so I would highly recommend attending a sports camp for a variety of reasons. First of all it can be a lot of FUN! Secondly, if you have any intention of pursuing a college career, camp is the single best way to see, up close and personal, the college of your interest. It is also the best way for the coach at a particular institution to see you daily and get to know you both on and off the playing field. Thirdly, attending a college camp can be a tremendous motivator for a young athlete. To be immersed in a college environment, live in a college dorm and interact on a daily basis with both college coaches and college student-athletes often inspires and motivates young teens.
