Outstanding Display of Sportsmanship

One of the most outstanding feats of sportsmanship happened this year during a collegiate softball game, which pitted division rivals Central Washington University against Western Oregon. What started out as an ordinary game ended in the lesson of a lifetime.

An athlete will employ many characteristics to experience the thrill of victory.  No two are more important then Courage and Strength. Courage is the capacity to meet danger without giving way to fear, and strength is the capacity to exert force, the ability to resist attack.

Are You Ready?

Even with the passage of Title IX in 1972, the law which requires schools receiving federal funds to provide equal opportunities athletically for women and men, the probability of competing professionally (and earning a living) are limited.
