One of the most outstanding feats of sportsmanship happened this year during a collegiate softball game, which pitted division rivals Central Washington University against Western Oregon. What started out as an ordinary game ended in the lesson of a lifetime. |

Are you ready? For what you might ask. How about the future? Even with the passage of Title IX in 1972, the law which requires schools receiving federal funds to provide equal opportunities athletically for women and men, the probability of competing professionally (and earning a living) are limited.

When the hot days of July fade away and the fresh smells of autumn roll in, it’s time to start thinking about going back to school. Right around this time every year, I send welcoming letters home to all the incoming 9th graders who fall into the part of the alphabet (last name start with Rho-Z) that I will service as a counselor. |

On April 2, 2007 John E. Roberts, Executive Director of the MHSAA, released the following memo in regards to the Sport Season Litigation. “In the sports seasons litigation, the U.S. Supreme Court has denied the petition to review the Opinion and Order of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals." |
